System Recommendations

This page includes information about the minimum requirements you need to run Presta LMS on the local machine.

CPU requirements are dependent on the number of services you want to run/ test.

More Generally, a minimal runtime would include:

  • Authentication services (Keycloak)
  • Databases (Mysql/ Postgres/ Mongo)
  • Gateway services
  • Presta LMS

CPU​

  • 4 cores should be adequate both to run support services & development

Memory​

Memory requirements are dependent on the number of services running

8 GB is adequate to run the services listed above, but for development purposes, we recommend a 16GB ram machine.

The higher volume of data and the number of organizations supported in your installation, the higher the memory requirements.
